In 1993, the movie Judgement Night dropped, and it was mostly forgettable except for one thing–the Judgement Night soundtrack. Because Rap-Rock was peaking at this time, the songs featured Alternative Rock artists mixed with rappers. With tag teams of Helmet and House of Pain, Teenage Fan Club and De La Soul, Sonic Youth and Cypress Hill, and others, the album has gone down in history as the best soundtrack to the worst movie.

Whether we want to relive it or not, Rap-Rock is back big time in 2026. Over the weekend, Papa Roach and Hanumankind dropped their collab, ‘See U in Hell, from the Netflix anime Series Devil May Cry 2, based on the hit video game franchise.

‘See U in Hell’ starts off with Papa Roach showing off why they could not only survive the Nu-Metal era, but thrive 40-plus years later. With wallowing vocals and hard rhythms, the band is shown rocking out on the top floor of a building while the Devil May Cry anime is projected on the side of the building. For the second verse, Hanumankind parachutes in for a dope 16 and then dips as Papa Roach screams and yells for the rest of the track.

Papa Roach’s ‘Last Resort’ was used in the first season of Devil May Cry so it seems only fitting that the guys rock out with one of the hottest rappers in the world for season two.
