Taipei is a massive city with over two million residents, but what’s even bigger is New Taipei City. This is the area surrounding Taipei in all directions with four million people. MJ116 aren’t from Taipei, but they are from a corner of New Taipei City called Muzha. When they would be getting ready to go downtown, they would say ‘兄弟們要進城,’ the name of their latest single and translated to “Brothers rolling into town.”

The uptempo jam produced by the trio and their long-time collaborator Tipsy Kao has an urgent feel to it. Right off the bat, E.So jumps in and raps like he’s hanging out the window of a luxury vehicle rolling by Taipei 101, because he is. His flow is sharp and precise as usual. Muta is up in the middle slot, and he is always bringing his Taiwanese flavor to tracks. To close it out, Kenzy raps his first four bars halftime and then kicks into high gear. It’s a dope way to stand out.

To get to the Xinyi area in Taipei, you need to go through the tunnels. The video has a lot of motorcycles doing wheelies and cars peeling out in those tunnels. Also, MJ116 is the most popular Hip Hop crew in Taiwan’s history, so when they film something, there are cameos by bar owners, rappers, dancers, and DJs. Overall, it’s all love as MJ116 and the posse rolls into town.
