On Wednesday night, MILLI was the final act in 88rising’s multi-city Road to FAM concert series, and she proved why she belonged at the top of the bill. MILLI’s set was delayed, the venue was hot, and it was a long day for fans, but none of that mattered as soon as her beats dropped. MILLI was backed by a live band and played new tracks from her album, HEAVYWEIGHT, which drops today.

At the show and on the album, MILLI showcased her multi-dimensionalism. She’s got skills on the mic when she raps. She can turn it up and scream during her Rock parts. And both live and on the album, she has the audience eating out of her hands. With international guests like Knock2, BewhY, Awich, and ATARASHII GAKKO!, MILLI is aiming for the Moon with HEAVYWEIGHT, and rightly so.

MILLI joins Avantgardey, the iconic Japanese dance team recognized for their bob haircuts, distinctive uniforms, and uniquely eccentric dance moves for ‘SICK WITH IT,’ the album’s opener. As expected, the video is unique, interesting, and HEAVYWEIGHT.
