Getting into medical school is never easy, but for Vietnamese-American Keshi, giving it up was the hard part. He was a nurse, but his real love was making music and posting it on Soundcloud. While his parents tried to talk him out of doing music, the pull was too great and eventually Keshi blew up, and signed to Island Records.

Now, the rapper, R&B singer, Lo-Fi producer, and multi-instrumentalist is hitting the road to Asia, with dates in Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, Manilla, and Taipei, as well as Australia and New Zealand.

Keshi tour dates

Even though Keshi was raised in an Asian neighborhood, he felt like he never fit in. Most of the people around him were ethnically Chinese or American, so his food and language were very different. At first, his parents discouraged him from doing music and pushed him to be a nurse. While he was in school, he started producing Lo-Fi Hip Hop beats and some R&B tracks and they hit. While he didn’t want to disappoint his parents, Keshi’s heart was in music.

Once he built a fan base online, Keshi knew it was time to do music full-time. Now, he’s had more than a billion streams, been featured on Shang-Chi and the Legend of 10 Rings album, and has sold out dates all over North America and Europe. He is hitting the road in November and December for the Hell/Heaven tour. Last week, on his Instagram page, Keshi posted the dates for his shows and the internet came alive. This will be the first time Keshi will be in Asia, so many of his fans in the region are excited to see him.
