A nursery rhyme is turned into a street anthem

Indian Hip Hop is evolving fast. The old guard remains strong, but a new wave is pushing boundaries. One of the big names doing this is Karma. In ‘RING A ROSE,’ the rapper from Dehradun turns a kid’s nursery rhyme into a street anthem.

‘RING A ROSE’ has a chunky, Afro Latin Moombahton by way of Mumbai feel to the beat. The song in itself is a jam, but the video is what really makes ‘RING A ROSE’ go. Inspired by Bollywood gangster and comedy flicks, it’s a short cinematic masterpiece with memorable underworld characters on rollerskates and some AI shots to die for.

Karma is making big waves with ‘RING A ROSE.’ In a press release he stated, “I wanted to take something innocent and make it dangerous. ‘RING A ROSE’ is about turning play into power. It’s the grind, the scars, the wins and wearing all of it proudly. Every line is me telling the world: I’m here, and I’m not slowing down.”
