'FLY' marks the first chapter of PERSES member Jung's solo career, and he brought in his biggest influence to launch it – Thai Hip Hop pioneer F.HERO. The two met by chance outside a recording room at GMM Grammy, where F.HERO asked to hear a demo Jung had been sitting on, and that chance meeting grew into 'FLY.'

Sonically, it leans into the noisier, Electronic-leaning maximalism newer K-pop acts like CORTIS have been pushing with distorted synths and a stomping low end built for dimly lit dancefloors. F.HERO slots into that setting on his own terms, delivering a verse that matches the bombastic energy that Jung brings.

Jung helped shape the song's structure and sound direction, and even served as executive producer on the music video. The result is a song about pushing through setbacks. Jung has described the "wings" in the title as the effort and lessons that build up along the way, not something handed to you.

'FLY' is the first offering in PERSES' UNCENSORED SOLO PROJECT, with the other four members' chapters expected before the group reconvenes for a reunion concert on October 3.
