Since his cover feature on Rolling Stone India earlier this year, the pressure has never been higher for Ikka to deliver a project that lives up to the legacy he’s set in Indian Hip Hop. The Delhi MC comes from humble beginnings and believes in the strength of productivity. This consistent work ethic made him the household name he is today.

‘Cuz Of You’ is the first single for his yet untitled third studio album, which comes hot off the heels of his first EP, In My Flow, that dropped earlier this month. Sticking to the bouncy and party-ready tunes that his fans are familiar with, this single sees him enlisting the help of Chuck, who provides an earworm of a verse with her traditional Punjabi singing.

Produced by Sanjoy, ‘Cuz Of You’ is a melodic Trap cut that draws heavily from his recent inspirations – Drake, Migos, and Kurupt. It’s also a sign of things to come, as the single marks a move towards more collaborations in Ikka’s future music releases. It’s a bid to “create better music over and over again, try my best to refresh my sound, and bring in new topics,” he claimed in his Rolling Stone India interview. The track also came with a music video that sees Ikka and Chuck flexing their wealth and status on top of a Chevrolet Camaro as money rains down on them.
