Hanumankind’s meteoric rise over the past year and some change has been impressive. Now he’s putting a bow on top of the best year of his career with Monsoon Season, a 12-track mixtape that has all the tracks that have put him on top of the world in one place, as well as a few loosies with guests like Denzel Curry and Maxo Kream.

The album starts heavy with ‘Reckless’ featuring Denzel Curry. It’s a nice intro since Hanumankind shows why all the good things are happening to him with his lyrics and drawl, and then Denzel comes in and hits it out of the park at the end. Monsoon Season goes into ‘Big Dawgs’ then switches to ‘Goons’ featuring Maxo Kream. Over what sounds like a didgeridoo providing the backbone for the beat, this song is slow and low and feels very Texas, Hanumankind’s adopted home.

Syrupy slow beats are par for the course as ‘Monsoon Season’ sounds like the storm is about to hit, with ‘Holiday’ and ‘Sicko’ keeping close to the same beats per minute. The album comes to a fitting end with A$AP Rocky on the ‘Big Dawgs’ remix they debuted at Rolling Loud Thailand. Overall, Monsoon Season shows this section of Hanumankind’s career. Now we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future.
