In the well of death, Hanumankind takes it to the next level on ‘Big Dawgs’
The song is a collab with producer Kalmi on Def Jam India
As one of the many crazy things in India, the well of death is like a middle finger to gravity as riders use centrifugal force to do death-defying stunts on nearly vertical wooden planks in a cylinder with crowds watching in amazement from the top. Daredevils drive cars and motorcycles on the well of death while doing tricks and getting tips from audience members.
Hanumankind uses the well of death as the backdrop for his latest video, ‘Big Dawgs,’ produced by Kalmi on Def Jam India. The scenes of him rapping inside the well of death bring a lot of Indians back to their childhood when they used to see these shows at fairs or carnivals and can remember the rickety wooden planks beneath their feet causing their heart rates to skyrocket.
There’s no doubt that Hanumankind does a hell of a job rapping here. He flows in all-English lyrics and there’s even a chopped-and-screwed moment at the end that finishes the video perfectly. Hanumankind has always been dope, and he’s on top of his game on this one.
The real star of the show in ‘Big Dawgs’ is the director Bijoy Shetty and the drone cameraman for the video. There are so many tracking shots, locked-on shots, and slow-motion shots that the video makes people feel like they are walking the fine line between extravaganza and disaster inside the well of death.
