On January 16, the social media pages of the Coachella Arts and Music Festival were stirring as the new poster for this year’s festival arrived. Doja Cat, Tyler, the Creator & Lana Del Ray are the superstars on top of the bill for the two-weekend festival happening on April 12-14 and April 19-21 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Doja Cat is making history because this is the first time that a headliner for Coachella has been a female Hip Hop artist.

The lineup is very 1990’s SoCo-centric with No Doubt reuniting for the first time in a decade as well as performances by Deftones and Sublime. For the Asian part of the festival, there are a few big names like Peggy Guo, who just had the best year of her career with her hit song ‘[It Goes Like] Nananan.’ Atarashii Gakko! have been making waves with their energetic festival performances, like when they got all of Clockenflap to do their silly dances. Also, 88rising will be doing another showcase, this time showing what’s up next with 88RISING FUTURES. thuy also promises to deliver a set of poppy R&B.

Coachella is the forerunner for festivals around the globe, and with it’s latest lineup release, there seems to be a bit of something for everyone in 2024.
