Dino James’ new album D is out and it’s perfect for those summertime vibes. He’s been in the news a lot as the first flagship artist with Def Jam India [with Fotty Seven], and now he’s got the music to back up the bravado.

D is a Hip Hop album through and through, but there are sprinkles of Afrobeats and World Music in tracks like ‘Dhundhla’ and ‘Lost.’ ‘Pyaar Pyaar’ also goes the Afrobeats route which is fresh and inventive to hear Hindi over those floating beats. ‘Pyaar Pyaar’ is a mischievous jam where Dino’s aim is to sweep a woman off her feet and get her to understand the Hip Hop artist’s lifestyle. Other songs like ‘Chosen’ are straightforward Hip Hop joints that are getting a lot of love on the airwaves and in the streets.

Def Jam India knew what they were doing when they signed Dino James. In an interview with Indulge Express, he said, “The album is a collection of thoughts and melodies that I've developed during the journey of making it. My style is usually rhythmic rap with storytelling. It's a beautiful journey - it feels like the birth of a baby.”
