On Bohan Phoenix’s social media, he announced that he would be taking a side quest into acting on Peacock and A24’s Superfakes starring Lucy Liu, Michelle Jones Lee, and Keith Leung. The show will be a crime drama produced by the Sadie Brothers and created by Beef writer Alice Ju.

After posting a picture from Variety magazine, Bohan wrote, “The word is out! So grateful. So excited.” on Instagram. While his music has been featured on Netflix, Disney, Comedy Central, and NBA 2K, this is the first time that Bohan will be getting a chance to act.

There have been a ton of rappers who have been great at acting including Will Smith, 2pac, Method Man, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Ludacris, and more. In the Asian Hip Hop realm, MC Jin did some great work on 2 Fast 2 Furious, Junoflo has been a star in K-dramas, and Awkwafina became a star in Crazy Rich Asians, but it was her show Nora from Queens that featured Bohan’s ‘#BBSSYYGG’ in 2021. Now, this life-changing opportunity comes full circle for Bohan.
