Awich announces friends JP THE WAVY, BIGYUKI, OZWORLD & U-LEE for Summerstage show in NYC
The Japanese MC has had a hell of a summer in 2025
Summer 2025 has been great for Awich. She released ‘Asian State of Mind’ after a year of planning, claimed the number 1 spot on the LiFTED 50 for a second year running, and is working on her album with RZA. At Summer Sonic, Alicia Keys invited her on stage after performing ‘Girl on Fire.’
But summer ain’t over yet.
Awich is taking New York City by storm and doing a free Japanese Champloo Summerstage concert in Central Park at the Rumsey Playfield on September 14. Awich isn’t doing it alone, though. She’s bringing her crew of JP THE WAVY, BIGYUKI, OZWORLD, and U-LEE to help her rock the Big Apple.
The Summerstage boasts an incredible list of performers this year including legends like Funk Flex, Doug E. Fresh, Rakim, Kabaka Pyramid, and more. The fact that Awich is even in this conversation shows that she is putting in the work to be a global superstar.
