The first few weeks after the new year are a lot of times vast wastelands in the nightlife industry because people have blown their load with the previous weeks’ holiday season. In Asia, it’s also a time that happens right before the Lunar New Year, so a lot of people who would generally head out may be staying in because they are saving money for either trips or giving red envelopes to family members.

Malaysian Hip Hop trio SPLINTR are bucking tradition and doing their first-ever showcase called HEAVY CUTS this Saturday night at CRYROOM. They will be performing their FULL SPLINT EP, showing off some new material, and also making a game-changing announcement.

SPLINTR consists of three MCs - A-KId, Danye, and NVKA. The trio has a bit of everything on their FULL SPLINT EP, including tracks with a West Coast feel, some UK Drill, and even some Baile Funk sprinkled in. While the three MCs have different styles, the results of their time in the studio are raw and unrelenting.
