Show Me the Money 12 comes back from the dead on January 15
The Hip Hop reality show has been on a break for 3 years
In Hip Hop, on TV, or in this fast-paced universe we exist in, three years is forever. People’s attention spans have been wiped out by the consumption of 15-second videos on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, so not being around for three years may feel like an eternity to some.
Show Me the Money, MNET’s Hip Hop reality show that has been known to crown the next superstars of Hip Hop, has been out of commission for three years. The last winner was Lee Young-ji, who also won High School Rapper. The three-year wait is over on January 15 as it returns as Show Me the Money 12.
In the trailer, all roads lead to the number 12. There are 12 tones, 12 signs in the zodiac, 12 months in a year, and 12 hours on a clock, so the world is completed by the 12. In January, there are four teams of producers–CRUSH x ZICO, J-tong x Hukky Shibaseki, GRAY x Loco. and Lil Moshpit x Jay Park–who will be on set to help the wanna-be Hip Hop superstars transform their dreams into realities. Show Me the Money will air every Monday at 9.20pm.
