AOMG’s punchnello had a relatively quiet 2023. In August, he dropped a single titled ‘riot!’, and that was all we heard from the South Korean MC this year, after not releasing anything in 2022 as well. However, he is not leaving 2023 completely empty-handed.

On November 21, he dropped ‘bury.’, a six-track EP that showcases punchnello’s smooth delivery over slow beats. ‘cloud’ opens the project up, which sets the mood for how the EP is going to sound – enduringly mellow. Track number 3, ‘bury.’, features a soulful verse from SOLE, a South Korean singer. ‘bury.’ is also the only track on the EP that has a feature.

A music video was also released on November 21, which was made for the two tracks, ‘cloud’ and ‘bury.’ It depicts the story of lost love and the pining that comes with trying to get over a special someone. A scene from it pays homage to Wong Kar Wai’s classic film, Chungking Express, where punchnello eats pineapples in a can with a fork, just like the main character from Chungking Express does.
