As soon as you see a Mr. OGAY painting, you know it’s a Mr. OGAY painting. Taiwan’s legendary street artist has been getting up with his overweight, tattooed snot-nosed characters all over the island for many years. Recently, he’s been making toys and having art shows that focus on his amazing absurd visual humor. Starting this weekend, he’s got an exhibition in Taichung, Taiwan called TAICHILLLAND.

Taichung is Taiwan’s second biggest city, and known for its relaxed attitude. This is why some people have been calling it Taichill. There was even a multi-day music festival, Taichill City, sporting the nickname. Now, Mr. OGAY is giving the middle city a piece of his mind for TAICHILLLAND.

Instead of only showcasing his work, Mr. OGAY is doing some live painting on March 15, and will do an art talk on April 12. Both of these events will be ways to get inside Mr. OGAY’s creative process and learn about his personal contributions to Taiwan’s street art scene.

Last year, Mr. OGAY did WEIRDLAND at the same exhibition hall. TAICHILLLAND is a continuation of his strange but vibrant universe.
